So we are moving Monday and I will have to run from Basecamp to the city a few times. Normally this would be fine but our truck is not really happy and I do not want to put to many more kms on it till I get get it into the shop.
Anyways I rented a car for today and return tomorrow. I just reserved an econo-box but got upgraded to a Grand Prix as they has not sub compacts. It has been a while since I have been in a car (even as a passenger), a first it is kinda fun. Anything is quicker (and faster) than our truck. But then I start to hate the uber sport seats that hug your body. I like the more room of the truck seats. Then I start to miss being up higher so that I can see more rather than being at ground level. I hit a patch of road that is bumpy and normally think nothing of it but this pancake is low to the ground and I think that I will bottom out.
The real kicker is I stop a place to use the washroom and have trouble getting up and out of the car. I love the truck open door and walk (or little step down). This is when I start to feel old. I think that all I want is a nice hybrid truck that had decent torque and power to do work stuff but would also not cost tons to run on fuel.
I guess I do not hate cars, in fact I love them and will have a nice sports car down the road but that will be a toy to take out for fun and not something to get from a to b.

ha ha…see…even skinny, fit guys have a hard time getting in and out to pee!
